How a Crack the Code mission works

1. Hide the transmissions

You print a set of numbered strips and hide them around the house. Finding them is half the game.

2. Each strip is an age-level puzzle

The problems are matched to the agent solving them, so different ages can work the same mission.

3. Answers decode letters

Each correct answer maps a number to a letter on the shared decoder page.

4. The secret location appears

Letter by letter the message resolves into a real place in your home — where you hid the payoff.

Same mission. Different agents.

One shared secret message and one shared decoder page — but each child's transmissions carry math built for their own level. Here are three real transmissions from a single mission for ages 5, 8 and 10.

Questions parents ask

What ages is it for?
Ages 3–12. The math on each transmission is matched to the child solving it, from simple addition up to multi-step problems.
Can siblings of different ages play together?
Yes. Everyone works the same secret message on one decoder page, but each agent's puzzles are their own level.
Do I need an account?
Start free. No signup required to begin — create and print first, decide later.
What is the secret message?
You pick the flavor; the mission decodes to a real hiding place (or a joke) that you set up before play.
