A real printed HideQuest page with three pirate clue cards. Each card has a rhyming riddle for the next hiding spot, a captain for that clue, and a number for each child to copy onto their sheet. A grown-up strip on top says where to hide the card.
Real clue cards from a generated pirate hunt. The grown-up strip on top says where to hide each card; fold it back before play.

How It Works

We write the clues. You hide them. They play on paper.

Each clue leads to the next hiding spot. The kids' code unlocks the last one.

1

Follow the riddles

Each clue is a rhyming riddle that leads to the next hiding spot in your home.

2

Solve at your own level

Younger kids count pictures. Older kids solve their own math problems. Each child collects their answers along the way.

3

Unlock the ending together

At the last clue, kids combine their answers into a Team Code. Solo players use their own code.

4

Find the final surprise

They show you their code. You hand over the last riddle, leading to hidden treasure, a surprise card, or a reward coupon.

A printed Clue 5 card titled Crack the Team Code, with a grid where three kids add their numbers down each column to make the Team Code.
The payoff: at the last stop, the kids fill in the Team Code grid together.
The printed final clue card showing Your code worked, the Team Code 6 9 7 8 9 in boxes, and a last riddle that leads to the reward coupon.
The ending: when their code matches these boxes, you hand over the final riddle.

Your part: Add your kids and type your hiding spots. We write every riddle and match each child's math. Print, cut out the clues, and use the strip on each card to see where it goes. Hand over Clue 1; when the kids show you their code, give them the final clue.

Learning Hidden in an Adventure

Each child solves math at their own level while following the same treasure trail. Their answers unlock the ending.

One Hunt, Different Ages

Little kids count pictures. Older kids solve bigger problems. Everyone has a part in the adventure.

Their Home. Their Story.

Choose your hiding spots, pick a theme, and decide what they'll discover at the end.

"I barely had to do anything to set this activity up — so helpful. The picture clues really helped support my kids' thinking on where the next clue might be."
— Mallory H., parent of two (verified tester)
